Piston Stroke
The distance that the piston slides up or down in the cylinder. This distance is limited by crankshaft. The highest point in the piston stroke is called the top dead center (TDC). The lowest point is the bottom dead center (BDC).
A piston stroke represents a half turn of the crankshaft. (The crankshaft rotates 180 degrees during the stroke.)
